"2005 is my year. I am sick and tired of not finding an artist that has the heart to match their talent. Yeah you can have a voice...but for me your soul's got to be real or I'm not feeling you. And that's what I bring to the table. Everyone's not going to love me. But I know there are still people out there that buy records that touch the heart and inspire them to move forward in life. That's what my music is all about...inspiration", says 24 year old sensation WynterStar. 

WynterStar has been singing since she was 5. She would always get solos and lead parts in all her school plays and concerts. She didn't really get serious about it until 15. That's when she attended a private school in Upstate New York and started to sing and travel with several Gospel Groups in the US and Canada going to Churches, Public Schools, and Youth Rally's encouraging young people through song and testimony. Because of WynterStar's obedience to the "Most High" people's lives were changed forever. "When I would go into a Public School and share my testiimony with these High School kids without being able to mention God (School guidelines) and afterward teens would come up to me and say 'you were talking about Jesus Christ weren't you?' I knew what God wanted me to do. Young people didn't go through with suicide, stopped prostituion, stopped drugs, because of my testimony...it gave them hope. And that's what I portray in my music...hope."

And eventhough many people are quick to throw WynterStar in the Gospel Genre she disagrees. " The way genre's are determined are ridicoulous...because I know a fist full of preacher's who would find my music offensive. That's why I call it NeoSoul. RKelly didn't become a Gospel Artist just because he sang 'I Wish' let's keep it real.":)
